*This will be an image heavy post. I’m not sorry 😀
I am a lover of office supplies. I’m not even halfway kidding when I say that. What I really want is a Filofax. Either a Finchely Personal in aqua or vintage rose, a Malden A5 in lavender, or I’m think I might like an Adelphi. I kind of dig the style. I don’t know what size, probably an A5. Lavender is really pretty. BUT! I don’t have like $150 to spend on a Filofax currently 😦 I know right. Maybe once I’m able to manage my time a little better… enter the Day Runner Terramo in Eggplant ❤ It’s no Filo, but it’s here to save the day! Now when I first received it, it was not at all what I needed it to be. I had to gut it and redecorate. I made every single divider you’ll be seeing later. I did use print outs from various sites. I’ll have to find them and link them through once I can track them all down. My Terramo takes 5.5 x 8.5 pages. I did have to figure out how to change the page size and get it to print correctly, but honestly it was fairly easy (even for someone as technologically challenged as me).
So here is what the planner looked like to start with:
Brand spankin new, not even opened
Front cover. Quite pretty 🙂
Front flap. Nice big pocket and some card pockets.
The original week on two pages inserts.
Holiday page all the way up to 2020 (I did keep this after the gut job)
Yearly overview, up to 2020 (I also kept this after the gut job)
Plastic card holder
Note pad in the back
Back cover with a nice pocket as well 🙂
Now here’s what it looks like after the gut job (I removed the contact tabs and the plastic card holder. I moved the pencil pouch to the front. I made all new dividers, and printed out new inserts. Now it’s exactly what I need)
My “Plan” section. I got my section names from some lady. I thought her tabs were nicely labeled. I forget who or where 😦 This is where all my weekly, monthly, and yearly planning happens.
My new monthly dividers. They aren’t finished yet, I do plan to add pockets later on.
My pretty monthly calendar ❤ I printed these from http://scatteredsquirrel.com Her half calendar sheets worked out perfectly for my 5.5 x 8.5 🙂
My week on one page inserts were printed from here: http://www.joykanani.com/print-it-on-tuesday-weekly-planning-pages/ The fact that there are two on a page makes them perfect. She designed these ones specifically for 5.5 x 8.5 pages ❤
My “Refresh” tab. This is for all my cleaning lists (daily, weekly, monthly, spring cleaning….) As well as cleaning tips, tricks, and homemade cleaners later on.
My color coded cleaning list. This is why you see dots on my monthly and weekly pages. Each dot tells me what I have to do that day 🙂
My “Nurture” tab. Where all my weekly meal plans, shopping lists, coupons, recipes, and food related notes go 🙂
As you can see I’m using the original week on two pages as my meal planner. This works out perfectly for a mini recipe snapshot. I actually created a shopping list for this menu that is sitting right between these two pages, ready for me to go shopping tonight 🙂
My “Blog” tab ❤ Yes it’s polka dots, because hello my blog is Polka Dots & Coffee Pots 🙂 This one is pretty basic. This is where all my blog stuff goes. Posts, schedules, ideas, things I need to get and do and find and photograph.
I printed these inserts from here: http://www.imperfecthomemaking.com/2012/01/free-printables-to-help-organize-your.html These work perfectly. I actually snapped this picture before I filled out this week…. but now this week is all filled in and perfect. I hope this puts an end to my inconsistent posting!
Last but not least, my work and studies tabs. I haven’t created my work and study schedule yet, so I don’t have anything in these two yet… but tonight I’m going to sit down and get it figured out. I want to track sources of income and income earned on a weekly and monthly basis. For studies I just want a clear study plan to keep me on track for my goals.
And there you have it ladies and gentlemen. My Day Runner Terramo all fixed up and pretty looking. I am beyond excited and I absolutely love using it. I love having the ability to change it up as I need to. Hopefully some day I’ll have all the pretty pens and stickers and washi tapes 🙂 But it works for now 🙂 I’m in love!
